Trileaf is seeking a PE-licensed Electrical Engineer to assist with the calculations and design of retail and convenience store remodel projects. Working alongside Trileaf’s in-house architects and electrical designer, the Electrical Engineer will provide guidance, oversight, QA/QC, and ultimately sign & seal electrical drawings as part of Trileaf Corporation construction documents. The position is contract and flexible, as is the compensation model, such that the candidate may very well have a full-time job and act as an after-hours consultant if he or she so wishes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Perform jurisdictional due diligence, or delegate such, if necessary to determine local electrical code requirements
• Perform a kick-off call with Trileaf’s internal Architect and Electrical Designer to visualize and instruct the proposed design
• At all times, provide oversight and review of Trileaf electrical work, to ensure ethical and legal compliance
• Perform QA/QC of electrical design, and ultimately sign and seal electrical drawings
• Turnaround times should be 5-7 business days from concept to drawing seal
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be knowledgeable and experienced in performance of electrical design for small tenant improvement projects. In addition, the applicant must have, or be able and willing to apply and receive, state PE seals for pre-determined States. Trileaf will pay for the seal as necessary.
Education and/or Experience Successful candidates will demonstrate the knowledge and/or experience to perform the job functions, as follows: • Professional Engineers’ license in at least one state • Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Electrical Engineering • NCEES accreditation • Experience as noted above
