About the Speaker: Dave Russell, PE
Dave Russell is the Principal of Global Environmental Operations, Inc. and a recognized expert in environmental engineering with over 30 years of experience. His work spans air and water pollution control, hazardous waste remediation, and environmental process engineering for the chemical, petroleum, and agricultural industries. Mr. Russell has authored numerous articles, books, and research papers on topics related to environmental safety, including hazardous waste management, contamination remediation, and environmental policy.
He has also been an instructor and has spoken at numerous conferences across North America, Europe, and the Middle East. His professional background and expertise provide valuable perspectives on how engineers address and manage risks in today’s complex world.
About GSPE & the Atlanta Metro Chapter
The Georgia Society of Professional Engineers (GSPE) represents licensed engineers, engineering students, and other professionals involved in the engineering community. The Atlanta Metro Chapter of GSPE serves over 200 members by providing networking opportunities, professional development events, and access to a wealth of educational resources. GSPE also supports initiatives like MATHCOUNTS®, a nationwide program aimed at promoting excellence in mathematics for middle school students.
Our meetings take place on the second Monday of each month, September through June, and attendees have the opportunity to earn Professional Development Hours (PDHs) while connecting with colleagues and experts. Additionally, the GSPE supports scholarships for engineering students and provides free job board listings for internships and co-op opportunities within the engineering field.
