The Georgia Society of Professional Engineers (GSPE), in collaboration with several local industry partners and with the support of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), has issued a statement of support to the Georgia Legislature advocating for the use of Qualifications-Based Selection (QBS) in procurement processes.
QBS is a best-practice method that ensures public agencies select engineering and design professionals based on their qualifications, expertise, and ability to deliver high-quality solutions, rather than solely on cost. This approach leads to better project outcomes, enhanced public safety, and long-term value for taxpayers.
